You're an earth nymph! You love animals, and you feel
most comfortable around them. You are probably
a little shy around people, so some see you as
distant. You're also very intelligent, and you
love to read.

What would you be in a fantasy world? (amazing pics!)

This is actually pretty accurate. However, I couldn't believe the writer of the quiz didn't list "cats" as one of the selections in the question "What is your favorite animal?" How anyone could leave out furry persons is beyond me...

The writer also didn't run spellcheck. I corrected the errors, and added a few capitals (I've never been fond of e.e. cummings--my eyes twist when I hit sentences with no capital letters).

But all in all, not too bad.

UPDATE: Yes, I'm anal. Bwahahaha.

Playtime

Heh. I'm still playing with backgrounds, headers and stuff, as you can see.

This header came from a new site I discovered, Cool Text. It's free--try it out.

In the meantime, I'm trying to get as many backgrounds and banners as will be allowed. I hope to be able to switch between them as the mood strikes me. There are advantages and drawbacks to each stylesheet, of course. The only thing about the 3 Column style is it doesn't have a Free Text box. I don't think I'm up to creating another layer yet (or whatever the S2 programming language is called) so I'll have to see what I can do otherwise. Anyway, enjoy.

I'm sure I'm chortling about something that's old hat to the rest of you, but I just succeeded in putting a background image on this stylesheet.

It not only worked, it looks good. How about that.

Words To Live By

There is no frigate like a book to take us lands away. ~Emily Dickinson

Being a writer is a very peculiar sort of a job: it’s always you versus a blank sheet of paper (or a blank screen) and quite often the blank piece of paper wins. ~Neil Gaiman

Of course I am not worried about intimidating men. The type of man who will be intimidated by me is exactly the type of man I have no interest in. ~Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

The road to hell is paved with adverbs. ~Stephen King

The man who does not read has no advantage over the man who cannot read. ~Mark Twain

I feel free and strong. If I were not a reader of books I could not feel this way. ~Walter Tevis

A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one. ~George R.R. Martin
